Everton and Frank Lampard’s situation is not much better than that of Aston Villa and Steven Gerrard. However, the Merseysiders are above Aston Villa because of the superior goal difference.

Frank Lampard spent €85.2 million on transfers in the summer and the performances of the signings are not up to the hype yet. The transfer spending does not include the price paid for the services of Conor Coady. Conor Coady is on loan at Everton from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Everton have accumulated four points in the 2022-23 season. Everton’s form has tapered down since Matchday 1. Though Frank Lampard lost to Chelsea in the first game of the campaign, the side had shown a lot of grit and determination. However, in recent games, the team has failed to put in those performances consistently and take three points home.

Everton will face West Ham United, Southampton, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United in the next five Premier League games. Frank Lampard has a tough set of fixtures ahead of him.

Unless the team puts in spirited displays in these games, it is hard to see Lampard still having a job in November.
