Mohamed Salah (13.0, Liverpool)

He has basically the same issues and reasoning as Trent this Fantasy Premier League season. He was subbed off just after the hour mark against Napoli, giving more certainty for a start. In a home game against Wolves, we’re hoping Salah can return to the kind of form that’s made him a legend in FPL folklore.

Marcus Rashford (6.5, Manchester United)

He is the first of our 4 budget midfield picks this week. Rashfords managed close to 2 xGI in his last 2 games and is playing out-of-position as a forward for Manchester United. They’re up against Crystal Palace this week, who are defensively sound but do tend to give up some chances – we’re backing Rashford to be on the end of them again after a huge 18-pointer against Arsenal.

Gabriel Martinelli (6.2, Arsenal)

The Brazilian was unlucky with a disallowed goal against Man United and continues to put up elite underlying numbers. Everton looked good at the back against Liverpool but hadn’t done that much before that. With a potential injury to Jordan Pickford, Arsenal’s attacking assets should enjoy a productive Gameweek 7 in Fantasy Premier League action this weekend.

Leandro Trossard (6.5, Brighton)

He looked very threatening on the eye test for Brighton. Again, even though we expect his long-term prospects for FPL to be dented by the departure of Graham Potter, we’re backing him to do well against Bournemouth this week, especially given Estupinan is likely to come back into the team pushing Trossard back to the attacking trio.

Luis Sinisterra (6.5, Leeds United)

Is our final midfield pick this week. The Leeds winger has scored a goal in each of his two previous appearances despite both being only around 60 minutes, as he builds his fitness back up.

Now, with a whole week of training and conditioning under his belt, we feel like he should see more game time and his numbers from last season, plus his two starts this season, all bode well for a potentially productive fixture against Nottingham Forest.
