Issues With the Attack

Despite the form of Rashford, Martial and Sancho, the onus still remains on the future of the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.

The forward is looking for a way out of the club after they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League last season. But with no team showing interest, Ronaldo might be resigned to staying at Old Trafford.

Even with or without Ronaldo, they look thin in the attack, only Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Elanga and Shola Shoretire are the other options in attack.

Is Benjamin Sesko the Answer for United?

The club have therefore approached RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko as a long-term replacement for Ronaldo.

The 6′ 4″ tall, 19-year-old from Slovenia is on the radar of the Red Devils. Sesko scored 11 goals in 37 games in all competitions for RB Salzburg last season and has already scored twice in three games in 2022-23.

United’s interest in the Slovenian though could be cooled as RB Salzburg have slapped a £45 million fee on the striker.
