The wait is over as the season begins this weekend, Leeds United have unveiled the 2022-23 away kit. The release of the home kits was delayed due to manufacturing delays with Adidas.

The first pre-season friendly had the Leeds players wearing last season’s away kit.

On the pre-season tour in Australia, Leeds was able to unveil the new home kits and display them at every match. The classic white drapes were like the ones from the first season back in the Premier League, having the blue Adidas stripes.

The addition was an additional gold line around the sleeves and the collar. As similar as they are to the kits from two years ago, they also have an LUFC inscription in the kit to add more detail and touch.

"Leeds United and Adidas are proud to reveal the new and eagerly anticipated away kit, ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season. This adidas shirt is a celebration of the club and its loyal supporters, with a finely crafted badge putting your passion on display. Combining features such as classic v neck collar with ribbed trim – we see our classic club colours of yellow and blue reimagined in a contemporary tie dye explosion of Pulse Yellow and Deep Blue challenging convention, but importantly the yellow harking back to the sunshine yellow used in some iconic kits from the 70s.(Via: shop.leedsunited.com)"

The new away kits have received a strong reaction from fans, either in love with it or absolutely hating the kit. Many fans were calling for a yellow away kit, but this has just as much blue in it as yellow.

The “splash” design seems to be popular with the Adidas brand. Last year’s away kit had a similar pattern but was less visible due to the colors, both being blue.

Ultimately this kit will be judged on the number of victories earned while being worn.
