Frank Lampard is under tremendous pressure at Everton and is looking to bring a few new faces in at Goodison Park to raise the morale of the team and the fans.
According to recent reports, Frank Lampard is looking to bring a youngster from his former club, Chelsea.
Everton are linked with Billy Gilmour, Armando Broja and Connor Gallagher, with the signing of Gilmour looking the most possible.
According to journalist Fraser Fletcher, Gilmour is not part of Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming campaign, which could see him leave the club on loan again this season.
Fletcher wrote on Twitter:
"A number of clubs are negotiating bringing Chelsea Billy Gilmour on loan. Frank Lampard very keen to have him at Everton pushing amoung other PL clubs.Chelsea have dropped him from squad as future is decided over next couple of days.via Twitter.com"
Recent reports from Talksport have suggested that due to the lack of funds at Everton, Frank Lampard is encouraged to sort a loan move for the youngster.
"Lampard was left seething by Everton’s 4-0 thrashing at the hands of MLS side Minnesota United and used the humiliation to make it clear to owner Farhad Moshiri that he is in need of reinforcements. With transfer funds at Goodison Park in short supply, Lampard has been given the green light to explore a loan move for Gilmour.via talksport.com"
Everton the perfect environment for Billy Gilmour
It was under Frank Lampard that Billy Gilmour played his first match for Chelsea and he will be hoping to shine under him if he does secure the loan move to the Toffees.
Everton have only signed James Tarkowski this window and have sold their star-man in Richarlison to Tottenham.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also linked with a move away from the club, with Newcastle wanting to sign the English striker. On the other hand, Anthony Gordon was also linked with Tottenham and could leave the club in the summer.
Everton have been linked with a move for relegated Burnley’s star Maxwel Cornet, PSG’s wantaway star Layvin Kurzawa, Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White, another Chelsea player in Hakim Ziyech and Spurs midfielder Harry Winks.
Yet they are yet to sign any of these players.
Everton barely survived relegation last season, and without Richarlison or new square reinforcements, this season will be even tougher for the Toffees.
Do you think Billy Gilmour should move to Everton? Will it be in his career’s best interest to move back to a club under the management of Frank Lampard? Who do you think Everton should sign this season other than Gilmour?
