4) Bukayo Saka (8.0m, Arsenal)
Opening 6 fixtures: cry, LEI, bou, FUL, AVL, mun
Arsenal’s opening 6 fixtures look great from an attacking point-of-view, suggesting that at least 1 Arsenal attacker could be key to a strong start.
While Gabriel Jesus makes a strong case at the same price, Bukayo Saka is a known asset who’s settled in this team, unlike Jesus who might have an adjustment period, and Saka’s creativity could benefit from the arrival of Jesus.
Saka had a fairly solid 4.7 points per match last season, building on a strong base of a 0.46 xGI per 90 last season.
He had penalties for a period at the end of last season but Martinelli took one in the final Gameweek, meaning there’s a lack of certainty about whether Saka will hold onto spot kicks.
If he does, this is yet another feather in his cap and might be the swinging piece of information in picking between Saka and Jesus for FPL teams.
