Another easy pick. Cancelo is an attacking fullback who seems to have pretty solid safety of starts from the strongest defense in the league in terms of last season’s xGA.
At 7.0m, it’s hard to argue against picking Joao Cancelo in our Gameweek1 teams, given the ease of City’s opening schedule.
He had the third-best xGI of all regular starting defenders in the league last season, with 0.26 per 90. He even does strongly for bonus points, thus giving him 5.6 points per match last campaign.
A definite in my team, to start the season.
