Manchester United Offered Defender Amid Inter Interest

Manchester United have recently announced that they have agreed with Ajax for the transfer of Lisandro Martinez. One would think that with the addition of a new defender, United’s pursuit of another one would end, but it hasn’t.
Recently news emerged suggesting that United have been offered Borrusia Dortmund’s Dan-Axel Zagadou after his contract expired with the club; the Red Devils are also said to be interested in signing him.
The 23-year-old French defender is still considered a top talent in Europe despite his struggles with injuries. However, it will not be easy for them to sign him as Inter Milan have also registered their interest in the youngster.
Inter want to replace Milan Skiniar, who is set to join PSG soon, with Dan-Axel Zagadou and will fight Manchester United for his signature.

Zagadou left PSG in July of 2017 when he was snapped up for free by Borussia Dortmund. Since then, the Frenchman has represented the club 91 times and also scored four goals.
According to reports from Media foot Marseille, Inter Milan have already put in an offer for the French defender.
The report suggests:

Good news for PSG , which is looking to recover Milan Skriniar.(…) With the departure of Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich , the Turinese accelerated the Bremer file and left Inter on the floor. But the Milanese have resources and have just activated a track in recent hours. According to our information, an offer has been sent to Dan-Axel Zagadouvia mediafootmarseille.fr"
The 23-year-old is a priority for the Serie A club. They have the upper hand of Champions League football to offer him. This has been the case for many of United’s summer targets giving them a miss; most of them have chosen Champions League football over a chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Erik Ten Hag already has the club captain Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and now the new signing Lisandro Martinez as his centre-back options, but wants another central defender.
Eric Bailly is linked with a move away to Fulham, while Phil Jones is linked with a move to DC United, which leaves them with a hole to fill in central defence.
