AC Milan Closing in on a Deal for Tottenham Youngster

Tottenham and AC Milan have entered talks for one of the former’s biggest defensive prospects, Japhet Tanganga.
Serie A champions AC Milan are looking to start their season off strong to retain last year’s title. In order to do so, they have been looking to strengthen their squad.
In their pursuit to strengthen their squad, they have already snapped up Divock Origi, Alessandro Florenzi, and Junior Messias.
The Rossoneri have now turned to Tottenham for their next signing of the summer. Recent reports suggest that they want Japhet Tanganga.
The 23-year-old broke into the Spurs’ first team during Jose Mourinho’s reign, but ever since then, he has struggled to get game time at Tottenham.
According to Sky Sports:
Many in for Tottenham’s Tanganga
Tanganga, a product of Tottenham youth academy, still has three years left on his contract, and Spurs are reluctant to let him leave permanently.
AC Milan, however, are not the only club interested in the versatile defender. They face competition from various Premier League teams, including Everton, Southampton and recently promoted Bournemouth.
The 23-year-old has only made 43 appearances in the last three seasons and has also struggled with injury issues recently.
The arrivals of Perisic and Clement Lenglet will make it harder for him to get game time while at Spurs. Also, with the Djed Spence to Spurs deal nearly complete, it might be game over for Tanganga in North London.
Daily Mail has also reported on this saying:
"Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is understood to be in Milan ahead of meetings for Tanganga and Sampdoria for Bryan Gil.via dailymail.co.uk"
The Serie A champions look at Tanganga as the perfect replacement for Alessio Romagnoli, who left the club to join Lazio on a free transfer.
Tanganga won’t be in foreign lands in the Serie A as he will be accompanied by and probably paired at the centre-back position with English international Fikayo Tomori. He left Stamford Bridge for the San Siro last summer.
Spurs should be looking to keep him as he provides an essential homegrown player spot in their team and could give competition to some of the club’s stars. He also had the potential to become a world beater and is certainly one to look out for in the future.
