Arsenal will make it two Manchester City players in one summer transfer window; David Ornstein has now confirmed that they have an agreement in place for the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko with his medical set for this week.

The Gunners could end up spending a reported £75m on Man City players, acquiring the services of Gabriel Jesus for £45m and now Oleksandr Zinchenko for £30m. A deal is said to be in place since last weekend Friday between the pair of Premier League clubs and personal terms also agreed on between the Gunners and the player.

"Arsenal are in the process of finalising a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko after reaching an agreement in principle with the 25-year-old on a four-year contract, The Athletic understands.Having already had an offer, believed to be £30 million + £2 million in achievable add-ons, accepted by their Premier League counterparts, Arsenal now also have personal terms in place with the Ukraine international. If all goes to plan, Zinchenko will leave City’s pre-season tour to undergo a medical and sign for the North London club.(Via: theathletic.com)"

Arsenal Puts Martinez Snub Behind Them With Haste

No time to mourn in the transfer window with Manchester United recently confirming they beat the Gunners to their primary left-sided defensive target, Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine could not refuse the opportunity to reunite with his former boss Erik ten Hag and chose Old Trafford as his preferred destination.

Now they have a player who was always on their summer list of targets but just not the first choice. Nevertheless, Arsenal were in search of a left-side player who could provide competition or cover for the injury-prone Kieran Tierney, and that offers versatility.

Even though he will be used as cover in the left-back position, early reports believed Mikel Arteta viewed Zinchenko as a midfielder option with both defensive and attacking attributes suited to the style of play being implemented by the Spaniard in North London.

If Arsenal are done with their work in the transfer market, then they’ve capped off an extremely respectable transfer window with a great addition that is Premier League proven. He has featured in 126 games for Manchester City and contributed with two goals and 12 assists.
