Everton striker on loan at Juventus, Moise Kean, is set to leave Turin immediately after signing on a permanent deal.
The career of striker Moise Kean has taken an unlikely trajectory, to say the least. By the age of 22, the Italian striker has played in three of Europe’s elite leagues, won two league titles and played a dozen times for his national side.
On the surface, Kean has experienced a career in the 6 years since his professional debut that most players could only dream of, however, it is one marred with disappointment.
Starting out at Juventus before surprisingly joining Everton for an initial £25.1m, his move to the Premier League failed to have the desired effect.
Kean scored 2 goals spanning across 32 appearances in the English top-flight as he struggled to lay claim to a starting spot until eventually finding an escape route on loan to Paris Saint-Germain.
He impressed during his short stay in the French capital despite a disappointing season for the team collectively, Mauricio Pochettino’s side missing out on the Ligue 1 title to Lille.
An admirable record of 13 goals in 22 starts sealed a return to his boyhood club in the hope of substantiating the expectation laid on him in his first stint in Turin.
The 22-year-old joined Juventus on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy of €28m subject to performance-based targets.
Such has been a pattern to this point, in 2021/22, Kean again struggled to stamp his mark on manager Massimiliano Allegri’s squad, not helped by Dusan Vlahovic’s arrival in January.
Where are we at now with Moise Kean?
At present, reports suggest Moise Kean is assessing his options as his Juventus future looks increasingly bleak.
Higher-ups at the club are obliged to sign the loanee on a permanent from Everton but the line of thinking is they will quickly look to offload him soon after.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, as quoted by Sport Witness, report Kean’s agents are ‘hard at work’ but ‘patience is required’ before a resolution is found.
The same article goes on to state that the player and club are in agreement that he should seek pastures new effective immediately after Juventus agree to pay his fee a season earlier than the intended two-year loan.
Keeping up? In Layman’s terms, Juventus are looking to sell Kean this summer and the feeling is reciprocated from the player’s side.
Rumoured landing spots for the forward are less prevalent but now news of the aforesaid has surfaced, potential suitors will no doubt begin to surface.
Kean’s reputation across the continent will garner interest and former team Paris Saint-Germain have already been listed. That being said, a return to the Premier League is also not out of the question.
Manchester United, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Arsenal are among the teams in search of a striker, with Kean’s imminent availability likely attracting interest.
