LWB: Ben Chilwell (Borna Sosa)

Chilwell is very well-suited to this role in Thomas Tuchel’s team. His importance was highlighted clearly last season, the team was flying when Chilwell was fit and firing including a thumping 4-0 victory over Juventus and the team was never the same after Chilwell’s season-ending injury in that same game.

This makes it important that Chelsea replace Chilwell sensibly. David Raum and Marc Cucurella are other names linked with the club and the club would do well to bring any of these 3 men. However, Cucurella being a complicated deal to make happen from Brighton, I’ve picked Sosa here as a player that’s seemed a slightly better fit for the role than Raum.

The 24-year-old Croatian notched 1 goal and 8 assists this season for Stuttgart and shows up very well for progressive passes received, progressing passes made, and progressive carries similar to Ben Chilwell.
