3. Hat-trick vs Bayern Munich 

Aguero’s hat-trick against Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich in the Champions League in 2014 is one of his most memorable European nights. Aguero scored a penalty early on to give City the lead but fell behind after goals from Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski. The City forward then scored in the 85th minute after a fantastic run and finish into the bottom corner.

Aguero then slotted past Manuel Neuer in the 91st to give his side a 3-2 victory. It was a match that Manchester City needed to win to keep their hopes of getting out of the group alive. Agüero showed once again that he is the man for the big occasion.

It’s a shame the great player never got to lift the Champions League. He was part of the city side that lost in the final side that lost to Chelsea in 2021. Aguero came on in the 77th minute but could not inspire his City side back into the game. It was the one trophy that eluded him.
