4. Five goals against Newcastle

In 2015 Aguero became part of an elite group including Andy Cole, Alan Shearer and Dimitar Berbatov that has scored five goals in one game. What is remarkable about Agüero’s goals is that they all came in in 20 minutes.

Aleksander Mitrovic had given the Geordies the lead with a header on the 18th minute. Aguero levelled the score on the 42nd minute with a diving header.

The Argentine then put city ahead early in the second half as his deflected shot squeezed past Tim Krul. He then chipped the Newcastle goalkeeper to complete his hat-trick. Kevin De Bruyne then acrobatically scored a volley.

Aguero’s fourth was a fantastic curling effort from just outside the box into the bottom corner. Then on the 62nd minute his fifth goal came as he tapped in De Bruyne’s low cross to complete the 6-1 rout.
