Tottenham Are Signing a Serial Winner

The winger/wing-back has been with Inter Milan since 2015, bringing a seven-year spell at the San Siro to an end. While at the Italian club and under Antonio Conte he won the Serie A title in 2020/21.

After the Italian who he will follow to Spurs left Italy, he won the Coppa Italia in 2021 and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2021/22. During his seven-year spell at Inter, Perisic had to move away from them, where he possibly enjoyed the most successful stint of his footballing career.

The season before Conte became I Nerazzurri’s manager he spent some time on loan at the Allianz Arena with Bayern Munich. In that 2019/2020 campaign with the German outfit, he enjoyed a special treble, winning the Bundesliga title, Champions League, and the DFB-Pokal.

Exactly what Spurs need ahead of a new season

The North London side requires experience and a winning mentality, they will get that in bucket loads with the arrival of Ivan Perisic. He has 428 domestic league appearances in his 6 seasons as a professional baller. During this period, he scored 116 goals while collecting 66 assists.

Conte also had to achieve a fourth-place finish with a thin squad and relied on goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min mostly. With Champions League football back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and more football on the horizon, he will provide quality in depth and add another outlet for goals.

He will be followed by Fraser Forster, who will join the club as a backup keeper following the end of his deal with Southampton. Another step at adding some quality to the ranks at the club.
