Getting promoted to the English Premier League after 74 years gives immense pleasure to any team but staying in the top flight for another season after finishing as high as 13th adds to the gratification. This happened with Brentford. Not only did the Bees stay up, but they finished mid-table with 13 wins and seven draws.

Brentford started the season with a bang. They registered a 2-0 win against Arsenal on their return to the English top-flight. They had two wins in the first four Premier League outings. However, Brentford’s flight experienced turbulence during December and January. The team lost six games in a row across all competitions.

They resurrected their campaign with three wins in a row in April. Thomas Frank will be unhappy with their performance on the last day as they failed to end the campaign on a high. Brentford lost their last of the season to Leeds United to finish 13th.
