Making a Case For Every Premier League Young Player of the Season Nominee

With the 2021/22 campaign drawing to a close, the Premier League have announced the nominees for their respective flagship awards: Player, Young Player and Manager of the Season.

A season filled with drama with no part of the table excluded, it has featured up to the wire relegation battles, a top-four race between six contenders and a title contest for the ages.

Despite there still being games left to play with the fate of some teams yet to be realised, in this series we will take you through the nominees for the end-of-season awards stating our case for each selection.

The Premier League decides upon the nominees using a panel of former players and representatives from the title sponsors.

Rio Ferdinand, Alan Shearer and Alex Scott are among the names listed on the panel which can be viewed on the Premier League website.
