Arsenal player happy with life at the Emirates: Contract talks to take place in the summer
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is enjoying his time and role at Arsenal and has repaid manager Mikel Arteta’s faith in him with a string of solid performances and because of this, they will reward him with a new contract in the summer.
Bukayo Saka, only 20 years of age, has been a consistent figure under Arteta and a constant pick in the starting XI. This season the Englishman has featured 29 times across all competitions and has scored eight goals and assisted another four.
He has been a key ingredient in the Gunners’ attack and is part of a young core that promises nothing but excitement for the future. Saka and his team-mates have been somewhat up for the test in their push for a top-four finish this season, with a few hiccups here and there on the way.
They’ve now gone through the EPL campaign winning 14, drawing three and losing seven, in the 24 games played. They have three games in hand over West Ham United and Manchester United, who are in fifth place and fourth place, respectively.
Arsenal are also equal on points with the Hammers (45 points) and only two behind Man United, who have 47 points. The weekend’s result where United draw to Watford 0-0, have favoured them and others in the top-four race, tremendously.
Arsenal to reward Bukayo Saka with another contract extension
The youth academy product recently signed a new long-term deal back in 2020. The contract signed was a new four-year-long deal that sees him stay at the Emirates until 2024. However, despite the recent update on his terms and conditions, he will be rewarded for the second time in quick succession.
The rumour is to initiate contract talks when the season concludes and when the summer window is open. This way, the player and the club can focus on affairs on the pitch and reach their season-long goal of Champions League football for next season.
"Bukayo Saka’s really happy with his Arsenal life. He loves the club, he’s only focused on race for Champions League spot and that’s why new contract talks won’t take place immediately."
The North London club will not stop by Saka and will award all those who helped in the push with new deals in the summer when behind the scene business takes centre stage.
