Paul Pogba: What is the Frenchman’s current situation at Manchester United?
With Manchester United’s most recent Premier League fixtures being postponed most of the action has been in the media and surrounding their players and transfer talks; one player always in the public eye: Paul Pogba
There have been loads of chatter coming from the United dressing room with long-standing sagas finally reaching their respective pinnacle or climax. Some players are on a frantic search for regular first-team football while others decide on their near and far future with their contracts reaching the final six months in January.
One player who has to deal with the latter is Paul Pogba. His story has been unchanged for consecutive windows and has always been the subject of an Old Trafford exit during this period.
With the knowledge of him entering the final stages of his Manchester deal, top clubs have again come swarming in trying to convince him to switch allegiances. Clubs rumoured to be in for Pogba: Juventus, PSG, and Real Madrid.
Will Paul Pogba sign a new deal with Manchester United?
The Frenchman’s agent who has never shied away from the media and always giving United a hard time, Mino Raiola, has come out and spoke on Pogba’s current status. He confirmed there is more than one club in for him, as well as a contract extension with his employers.
"When asked whether Paul Pogba would leave Manchester United next summer, Mino Raiola replied in an interview with German television channel Sport 1 that the French international midfielder (28) was the subject of “many offers” , including an extension to the Red Devils. Pogba’s contract, currently injured in a thigh , runs until June 30. (Via: lequipe.fr)"
As per the super agent; there is no way Bayern Munich will stay in the race for Pogba. He reckons his salary demand is way too high for them and does not fit into their transfer mould. This leaves his old club Juventus and always admirers Real Madrid in the race.
The chances of him resigning a new deal with the Manchester outfit is not off the table and strong. The hold up in the deal could be his wage demand and him trying to see if the club is heading in the right direction, having not won any silverware for the past four years.
The club and interim manager Ralf Rangnick are not holding their breath that he will stay. If he does re-register with them, they will be more than happy; if he goes, they will gladly accept and finally put this Paul Pogba-Manchester United saga behind them.
