Assessing Anthony Martial’s potential destinations away from Manchester United
By Joel Edkins
Up sticks to Italy?
Links to Italy have been sparse aside from the potential interest of Juventus who, along with the likes of Inter Milan, have experienced financial trouble of late due to the pandemic.
It is believed that Inter have ruled themselves out of the offing after being put off by Martial’s wages but it is yet to be seen whether Juve will take a similar stand.
According to reports coming from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Old Lady could be willing to offer the France international a year-and-a-half loan deal to help facilitate the club’s already tight financial situation.
When analysing Juve’s attacking options it is clear they’re depleted in that area of the pitch, as Paulo Dybala struggles to retain fitness, Alvaro Morata continues to fail in offering a consistent goalscoring output and youngster Moise Kean is still developing.
Taking this into account, in conjunction with the attraction playing for a club the size of Juventus would have for any player, if the financial side can be agreed upon, this is a move that may suit all parties.
Until we enter the January transfer window, it is unlikely any concrete news will emerge regarding Anthony Martial, but the once exciting young talent isn’t short of potential suitors.
For now, it is more than certain he will leave Manchester United, despite the manager’s recent words.
We will be sure to keep you updated as the story unfolds.
