Due to a long list of injury setbacks and a few underwhelming performances, Aaron Ramsey’s time at Juventus could be cut short with the Old Lady considering cancelling the remainder of his contract with the club and Everton looking to take control of the situation.
The injury-prone Aaron Ramsey could find himself without a club during the January transfer window, however, it won’t be for too long with Premier League clubs such as Everton already lining up for him.
A Ramsey sale/exit has been on the cards since the summer window with the former Gunner linked with a surprise transfer to Anfield and his old rivals, Liverpool — the Reds were in need of a Georginio Wijnaldum replacement — and Ramsey was the cheapest and most experienced option in a tight market.
The move to Anfield, as well as a return to Arsenal, swept the media near and far; it was believed that manager Mikel Arteta was keen on adding the player’s experience to the ranks and needed somebody to make up some of the attacking loss left by playmaker and ex-teammate, Mesut Ozil.
Unfortunately, and according to CalcioMercato, because of the Welshman’s refusal to leave the Old Lady behind him, Massimiliano Allegri tried in a failed attempt to integrate him back into the team and use his qualities that were so amazingly displayed at Euro 2020 with Wales, who almost defied all the odds once again.
But injuries, like throughout his entire career, prevailed and now the club looks to get him off the books and bring in a player more available for selection — and because of this — Everton have put up their hand.
"Aaron Ramsey is increasingly a case for Juventus. Between an endless series of injuries and fierce criticism from the fans.Massimiliano Allegri was tempted by the possibility of relaunching him, he tried especially at the beginning of the season but the Welshman never manifested, with facts, the desire to rewrite his history in black and white. That is why a separation already in the January market is the only way forward for the good of all parties involved. Everton needs quality in depth
The Toffees, who got off to a flying start in their Premier League campaign, soon fell off completely, displaying the crying need for depth. Their results clearly display how tough life has been without some first-team players available for selection.
In their last 10 Premier League outings and before the Arsenal last-gasp victory on Monday night past, their last win came on Matchday 6 against Norwich City. In between these two victories, then and now, they collected two points from the 24 they played for, losing six times during this period.
Ramsey will not solve the issue but will add quality in the attack and in the middle of the park. At 30 years of age, he offers a good couple of years to a side in need of an English top-flight background, such as his.
He has only made five appearances this season and only one of them being a start — it’s time for him to consider his options as well. A move would certainly suit all parties involved.
No price has been set in stone as of yet with only Everton rumoured to have met with his representatives recently. Every player Everton are after, so are Newcastle United rumoured to be in for.
