Ahead of a relaxed Champions League fixture for Liverpool: Joe Gomez and Naby Keita were pictured back in full training on Monday and could make the bench when they take on AC Milan in their final group stage encounter in the Champions League.
Joe Gomez was called back afore the international break for a groin problem, meanwhile, Naby Kieta underwent a hamstring injury that has seen him sidelined since being forced off against Brighton back at the beginning of November.
Both Gomez and Kieta have travelled with the side to Italy and have made the matchday squad for the first time since missing due to their respective injuries.
It is unlikely that they will start against AC Milan later tonight and will probably be introduced late in the game and complete individual cameos. But It is more than likely for the Reds boss to involve the two during Matchday 16 of the Premier League against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp is to rotate his Liverpool squad to keep the medical staff from “bashing him” – expect several changes
For their trip to San Siro, Jurgen Klopp is set to be without the aid of some of his first-team players. It has been reported that the pair, Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson, have not travelled with the squad and are being rested for the weekend.
After being booked against FC Porto, James Milner is also bound to miss the game; in addition, so are Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, and Roberto Firmino — who are still out mending their respective injuries.
Having already qualified for the Champions League round of 16, Klopp is certain to call in a few changes — in order to balance the entire rhythm of the team.
