Manchester City keen on signing Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahović

Manchester City have entered the ongoing race along with Tottenham to strike a deal with Italian club, Fiorentina, for the signing of 21-year-old Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic, who had earlier ruled out his offered deal from the club is soon set to be out of contract. With the summer transfer window spicing up, City is aware and deemed to be a certain favorite to cut a deal with the Serbian.

With all big EPL clubs already hot on his trail, the Cityzens have also joined the negotiation table in the hope to pursue his signature.

The striker, so far with his exceptional style of play, has found the back of the net 13 times in 16 appearances for the 2021/22 season. Carrying such impressive numbers, it’s no surprise to see Europe’s top clubs in for him, including Pep and City.

According to La Repubblica, City is eager to get their hands on this signing in the hope to fulfill the number 9 gap in the squad ever since the departure of Sergio Aguero to the Camp Nou.

The Top Flight has been following the Dušan Vlahović situation since the summer when it first came apparent that he was not going to extend his stay at the Artemio Franchi and a move to a big club became the striker’s biggest priority.

Back then, it was believed the same two English clubs will go head-to-head but then the story took a twist, and Tottenham was considered the front runner at first and have been the team heavy in discussion with the player.

Now it’s taken another turn and TTF expects it to take yet another turn, making this one of the biggest transfers to look out for now January, or during the summer.
