FPL: Teams and Players with the Best Fixtures to Target in December
Manchester United
Upcoming December fixtures: CRY, NOR, BRE, BHA, NEW, BUR
Ralf Rangnick is officially on his way to Old Trafford, and we can expect him to bring his German gegenpressing style along with him.
Using this high-intensity style against the likes of Norwich, Newcastle and Burnley could result in big FPL points, especially for some of United’s attackers that could flourish under Rangnick.
Jadon Sancho (£8.9m) is at the forefront of my mind. The England international performed very well in the Bundesliga last season, so Sancho will know what will be required in Rangnick’s German-style type of football.
He becomes a particularly enticing option if Rangnick deploys a 4-3-3 system and utilises Sancho in his natural position on the right wing.
Alternatively, Marcus Rashford (£9.4m) could also become an option on the opposite flank in a 4-3-3. Rashford is proven in the Premier League, so some may prefer to opt for him over Sancho.
Of course, FPL managers may also need to start thinking of ways to fund Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.3m) with the great fixture run ahead.
He slotted home a penalty against the Gunners whilst Bruno Fernandes was on the pitch, which almost confirms that he is the new first-choice penalty taker for United — making the Portuguese international an even more enticing option.
