If going all the way down to basement price to use the money elsewhere, Lively Lamptey himself is an exciting option.

He was electric at the start of last season but has struggled to keep fit but has now been eased back after an unexpectedly long lay-off. Lamptey is playing the right wing-back role which allows him offensive freedom.

We’ve already had a glimpse of his quality in the final third last season. He’s fresh off a performance where he presented a statistical “big chance” to score with an xG of 0.35 that he failed to convert.

He’s had 4 goal attempts, encouragingly all from inside the box and created 3 chances from limited minutes this season. While Brighton’s defensive numbers have fallen from their previously elite level, they remain fairly strong.

The option to pick an offensive wing-back from a historically strong defence with a decent-looking upcoming schedule all at the price of 4.4, makes him an exciting pick and so he’s my budget recommendation ahead of the likes of Mitchell (4.5) and Ben Davies (4.4).
