Andros Townsend – Everton

Andros Townsend had a solid five-year run for Crystal Palace but never was a standout for the Eagles. Everton chose to pick up the veteran winger on a free transfer during the summer, and he has repaid the club’s faith in him.

Townsend has shined this season and has already left his mark at Goodison Park. He won Goal of the Month in September for this long-range missile against Burnley and has continued to provide with 3 goals in the Premier League this season.

Townsend has been playing some of his best football recently and his dangerous left foot has been a weapon. His stamina is impressive for a player who recently turned 30, and his 3 league goals are the most he has scored since his 2018-19 campaign.

Along with fellow summer signing Demarai Gray (who also deserves an honorable mention), Townsend has been a key player for Rafa Benitez’s side. With the return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin imminent, the Toffees could race up the table in the coming weeks.
