Leeds United – Has the Marcelo Bielsa effect left the Premier League?

Fans around the globe cherish Bielsa for his gameplay and tactics with Leeds, but has that spark died down this season?

Last season, Leeds finished ninth in the standings with 58 points. After 11 matches played this term, they are 15th place accruing 11 points, three points above the relegation zone.

While there is still time in the season, it is unsure how the Whites may perform given that in their last five matches, they have only won two games. Brazilian international, Raphinha has found the back of the net five times for Leeds; he is the key in achieving positive results.

Hopefully, Bielsa can get the results they want and go up the general standings. However, the more they lose and drop points, the harder it will be to go up in the long run.

For Leeds, their fixture calendar is not getting any easier in the Premier League as they’ll face tough oppositions in their next upcoming matches. A visit to Spurs, Brighton, and finish by hosting Crystal Palace are all tests on their way for Bielsa and his players.
