Tottenham Hotspurs: 5 Ideal Transfer Targets for Conte in January
Unsurprisingly, Daniel Levy called an end to Nuno Espirito Santo’s short and ill-fated reign as Tottenham boss and then, aided by Fabio Paratici, pulled a massive manager coup—Antonio Conte.
Conte is a serial winner with a tremendous track record of success and titles across spells at Juventus, Chelsea, Italy and Inter Milan following promotions for Bari and Siena.
The passionate Italian comes into the Spurs‘ job on the back of Premier League success with Chelsea and a Serie A with Inter Milan in his last 4 seasons in management.
He’s built a reputation for being feisty but tactically brilliant and has achieved results playing his 3 center back and wing-back systems, either as a 3-4-3 or a variation of a 3-5-2.
That and the immediate pivot to that setup for his first two games in charge of Spurs suggest that this system is what we’re likely to expect from Conte.
