4) Two transfer moves – Kelechi Iheanacho and Kai Havertz

Admittedly the riskiest set of moves discussed here: this set of transfers has low ownership and high upside potential. Iheanacho returned to the starting XI recently after being left out at the start of this season despite his blistering end to the 20/21 campaign – he’s picked up where he’s left off.

He’s got a goal and an assist in 2 starts and also racked up 2 assists in their midweek European game (where Patson Daka scored 4 goals and while he looks like he’s being eased into the Premier League, he’s one to keep an eye on for Iheanacho’s security of starts).

Iheanacho has produced, with fine consistency, since getting back into starting lineup after the midway point of last season has dropped 0.5 to 7.0m in price.

Picking a budget forward might allow bringing in Kai Havertz.

The 8.1m German midfielder is expected to return to his number 9 role for Chelsea ahead of possibly the best run of 3 fixtures from an attacking perspective; Norwich City, Newcastle, and Burnley.

While not officially confirmed yet, it looked like both Lukaku and Werner’s injuries picked up in their midweek game might rule them for 3+ weeks and without another recognised striker on the roster, Havertz looks like he’ll take up an OOP forward role for Chelsea.

I really like the potential gain from picking Havertz for this run and might personally consider a -4 to bring him in this week if the expected injury layoffs for the two forwards is confirmed.
