#1 Kai Havertz v Norwich City (H)

With Lukaku and Werner both going off injured in Chelsea’s UCL game against Malmo, we turn to the forgotten man this week — Kai Havertz.

Although Havertz has been fully fit this season, he has only started 50% of the league games possible. However, Chelsea’s sudden outburst in injuries means that he is almost guaranteed to start upfront for the Blues against a struggling Norwich team.

Daniel Farke’s last-placed team have conceded 16 goals this season, which is 2nd worst in the league behind Newcastle. This illustrates that the upside is there for Chelsea assets, and particularly Havertz this week.

We can expect more goals from the London club this week than Liverpool when we consider their respective fixtures.

Again, this captaincy decision comes at a risk. At just 4.1% ownership, a haul from Havertz will likely see a massive boost in rank. However, a Salah goal can do damage to non-cappers due to the volume of FPL managers that will be captaining him this week.

Havertz for captain this week is definitely for the brave, but can also be very rewarding!
