#3 Kevin De Bruyne v Brighton (A)

Arguably, the safest Manchester City asset for captaincy this week is Kevin De Bruyne. He is the catalyst of the midfield, and it would be hard to see Pep rest the Belgian against Brighton — which is by no means an easy fixture.

After securing an assist in City’s UCL win against Club Brugge, De Bruyne was subbed off early at the 64th minute. This could be an indication that Pep wants to rest his key players so they are fresh for the upcoming league fixture.

In De Bruyne’s last 5 appearances in all competitions, he registered a minimum of one attacking return — whether that be a goal or assist. After his recent injuries, it appears that the Belgian is getting back to his best form.

With only 3.3% ownership, very few people will have the luxury of captaining De Bruyne.
