Four teams, 0 wins combined. Fortunes need to change very soon for Southampton, Burnley, Newcastle, and Norwich if they are hoping to avoid the drop. Question is, who is most likely to end their winless start to the Premier League season?

I will cover all four teams and predict who will most likely be the first to do so, taking opponents into account and their respective performances to this point.

Southampton – 17th Place

Out of the four, the Saints boast the most points thus far, with four points to their name thanks to draws against both Manchester clubs, as well as West Ham, and fellow strugglers Newcastle, yet, there has been an overall struggle so far to get off the mark.

Their next four games see them battle Leeds United, Burnley, Watford and Aston Villa. A very kind schedule, with only the Watford tie being away from Saint Mary’s.

Verdict:

I favour Ralph Hassenhuttl’s Saints to break their winless start to the season the quickest. Their fixture list is rather favourable, and despite not having skipper James Ward-Prowse for their next three matches for his sending off at Stamford Bridge, Southampton have easily been the most convincing of the bottom four.

I can also foresee them finishing comfortably in mid-table after that first win. Expecting at least one win before the next international break.
