#4 Romelu Lukaku vs Brentford (A)

Brentford have established themselves as a difficult fixture in the Premier League this season after taking a point off Liverpool in GW6 and then defeating West Ham away from home in GW7. As a result, they may head into GW8 full of confidence against Chelsea.

Nonetheless, Lukaku’s goal threat is still very apparent. He had a goal ruled out by VAR and then hit the woodwork at a later stage in the game against Southampton in GW7 — very unfortunate to end the 90 minutes without 2 goals to his name.

Despite Brentford’s great form as of late, Chelsea are a different beast to come up against. They are solid in both defence and attack, so it would not be surprising to see Chelsea give Brentford a proper welcome to the Premier League with a big win.

But at the same time, Brentford could easily bring the game to Chelsea as they did to both Liverpool and West Ham. The unpredictability of the game is the reason why Lukaku only ranks at #4 this week on the captaincy list.
