You just need to take a glance at Brentford’s upcoming fixtures to understand the potential that their FPL assets have. There is a sea of green fixtures all the way up until GW19 for the Bees, which should see Raya accumulate plenty of clean sheets in this time.

Brentford have already kept 3 clean sheets this season, and only conceded 6 goals — and if we exclude the Liverpool game, it’s only 3 goals that they have conceded.

Their ability to keep lower and mid-table teams from scoring whilst also doing damage up on the other end of the pitch is what has been most impressive about Brentford. This is what makes having a Brentford goalkeeper/defender in your FPL team so important, especially over their favourable fixture run.

An additional benefit of having Raya over one of Brentford’s defenders is that it allows us to load up our teams with some big names in defence.
