With one weekend of the always unwelcomed international break behind us, we countdown the days for club action to return and for Fantasy Premier League to restart with GW8.

The previous gameweek before the international break excited us with a mouth-watering encounter between Liverpool and Manchester City that far from disappointed and that ended with the points shared at 2-2 – a great day for Salah and Foden owners.

Besides the thrilling Klopp and Pep battle, it was certainly a weekend of upset and was a low-scoring GW7. The highest was 102 points with a triple captain played and an average of 38 points.

The term Wildcard has been making its rounds in the FPL hemisphere and it looks as if many will be playing their Wildcard chip during the international break.
