As the last Gameweek before the international break approaches, we look at the top 5 captaincy picks for FPL in GW7. The Captaincy selections appear less clear-cut this week, with many of the top premium assets having tougher fixtures than previous weeks. Let’s take a look…

Top 5 Captaincy Picks for GW7

#5 Raphinha v Watford (H)

Raphinha could have easily been higher up on this list, but the fact he has not been at 100% fitness in recent weeks has been a minor concern. Despite his niggling injuries, Raphinha has still delivered in the last 2 weeks with 2 goals, he even hit the woodwork against West Ham, so he could’ve even bagged a brace in GW6.

All eyes should be on Bielsa’s press conference later this week to gain some more insight into Raphinha’s fitness. If we get a hint that he is fit to play, then he definitely becomes a realistic captaincy pick this weekend when they go up against the newly-promoted Watford.

Watford are ranked 13th for expected goals conceded this season, which is by no means impressive. Despite Leeds’ injury list at the moment, the managerial skills of Bielsa should be enough to outdo the Hornets. If fit, Raphinha will certainly be the one to step up – similarly to how he did against the Hammers previously.

Raphinha has managed 8 shots on goal in his last 2 games, with 5 of those being on target. The Brazilian international is a dangerous and clinical finisher, and he only needs one chance to cut in from the right to score.
