Manchester United, who have a squad capable of fighting on all fronts this season, still have some concerns about star first-teamers who are out of contract soon; the player in discussion at the moment is Paul Pogba.
Paul Pogba, who is enjoying one of his best starts to a Premier League campaign, is in the final year of his contract with the Manchester club while links to Torin and the Spanish capital remain ripe and continuous.
There has been no secret that Pogba is willing to leave Old Trafford and his desired destination is Madrid or a return to Italy – it has been for a long while – and it will continue to be, especially now that they can acquire his services without paying for him.
There has always been a three-way tango in the Pogba saga; the club having to deal with the outspoken Mino Raiola, who always has expressed hope for a way out of England for his client – that time is fast approaching – with the 1st of January the opening date he is allowed to start talking to clubs and can agree on pre-agreement with them.
Mino Raiola has come out and made a statement regarding the Frenchman’s future:
"Paul Pogba is out of contract in June, so we’ll talk with Man Utd and we’ll see what happens. Juventus? Paul still loves Turin. There’s a chance that Pogba will return to Juventus, yes – but it also depends on Juventus plans.(Via: @FabrizioRomano)"
The player is increasing his value with each performance that passes; this will have many top clubs, especially the abovementioned long-term linked one, trying to sign him for free.
He now leads the EPL in assists with seven assists. He has a goal involvement in almost all of United’s games, barring one this season, their 1-0 win over Wolves. The Red Devils remain unbeaten for the campaign; winning 3, drawing 1, and losing none.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had some questions to answer following a Champions League opening day loss to minnows, Young Boys.
He has given five years of his life to Manchester
It’s hard to see the French international staying put in England and at Man United, he has given them five years of his life since signing for them back in August 2016 for a record fee of £89m.
He will certainly be looking to complete his dream move – a move he has expressed openly about – over and over again. It’s about that time, despite the agent suggesting they will talk about his future to United.
Since making the switch from the Old Lady to the Theatre of Dreams, there have only been two major club trophies he’s gotten to enjoy: The EFL Cup and the Europa League.
A return to Juve or a new journey in the Spanish capital appears more likely than the third option, which is a Manchester United stay – one more also not forget – Paris Saint-Germain and their quest to build a super side with Pogba one of their main targets since last summer.
