Manchester United showed an amazing level of football last weekend against Newcastle United in Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford.

It is known that Ronaldo is probably the best player in Champions League history, he was crucial for Real Madrid’s four titles over five years, as was United’s other new signing, Raphael Varane.

Ronaldo is the player with the most goals and assists in the competition’s history with 134 goals in 176 appearances.

The Red Devils had a great summer with the signings of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Cristiano Ronaldo. With them added to the roster they should pass the group stage with no problems at all since their group has little competition and is rated as one of the easiest in the competition.

Group F has Atalanta, Villareal, and Young Boys joining Manchester United. Atalanta and Villareal are tough teams who are very difficult to get a positive result against and complicate things a little for Ole and his men. In this group, there are only three Champions League trophies and they all belong to Manchester United.

Villareal got to the semifinals of the tournament in their first time playing the Champions League, back in the 2005/2006 edition. Atalanta’s best result was in 2019/2020 when they got to the quarterfinals but got knocked out by PSG by a scoreline of 2-1.

Young Boys’ best performance in the tournament was in the 1958/1959 season where they reached the semifinals but lost. Now, let’s predict the final standings of Group F.
