Ivan Toney can make the difference for Brentford when they host Brighton
By John Wozniak
Ivan Toney’s first Premier League goal earned Brentford a point at Villa
The Brentford striker showed good composure inside the 18-yard box to net his first goal for the club in the Premier League. Pontus Jansson flicked on Sergi Canós’ low cross to find Toney unmarked near the penalty spot, and the striker made no mistake.
Brentford did well from a corner to keep Villa penned in their own penalty area. The goal showed a strikers’ instinct. It’s just what the Bees will need to remain in the league.
Speaking to Football London, Frank spoke of his delight with Toney’s performances:
"He’s shown in all three games he’s more than capable of playing in the Premier League with his link-up play, pressing and his ability to be in the right place with chances. Now he’s finally got his goal on the baord, I expect to see even more from him. He’s a fantastic player. (Via: football.london)"
