#2) Harry Kane to Manchester City
At the fag end of the 2020/21 season, Harry Kane expressed his desire to move away from North London.
The links to Manchester City were no secret and it was no surprise with City wanting to replace the departed Sergio Aguero.
Also with a gentleman’s agreement in place between Kane and Spurs owner, Daniel Levy, many expected Kane to make the big move during the summer.
"Spurs have insisted Kane is not for sale despite the striker’s desire to leave for City and they have turned down a £100m offer from the Premier League champions. It is thought £150m could tempt Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, to sell but the bid being readied by City falls short of that. (Via: Guardian)"
City submitted a huge bid of £100 million as a guaranteed sum for Harry Kane. The reigning Premier League champions also proposed an offer of a player+cash deal for the England skipper.
However, the deal could not reach a conclusion as Levy was not willing to negotiate for him for any sum below the £150 million price tag.
