Can Norwich City help defender get his career back on track?
Norwich City started the week off in style, following a disappointing loss to champions Manchester City, by completing the signing of FC Schalke and former Liverpool defender, Ozan Kabak.
The young Turk, Ozan Kabak, finally makes his return to the Premier League having failed at Liverpool and them not taking him in permanently following an underwhelming six-month spell at Anfield – although it must be said – there were one or two games where the centre-back did extremely well.
Following this, Leicester City were close to bringing him back and giving him a way out of Germany, they ended up gaining the services of Jannik Vestergaard from Southampton. This then left Kabak with no way out of a team playing in the 2. Bundesliga and currently laying 9th in the standings after five games played.

Ozan Kabak has the chance to restart his career under Daniel Farke
Now he has the opportunity to hit the reset button and find his way back into the discussion. The Canaries have pulled off a good deal with the capture of the defender – and one is seriously needed, having already conceded 10 goals after three games – the most by an EPL team this term.
They do have the option to make his stay permanent after the 12-month loan period. He does come with loads of experience and his 13 appearances for Liverpool comes with many positives for Daniel Farke.

This gives the Turkish international a head start in preparations and will have him up to speed sooner rather than later, which is exactly what the manager ordered in the transfer window that is about close in a matter of hours.
He and the club will be hoping he hits the ground running and becomes an instant hit at Carrow Road. Also, playing mostly under German managers will help him adjust quickly to coach Farke.
This could be exactly what is needed for both parties to reboot. The holes at the back need to be plugged and the international break couldn’t come any sooner for the Canaries.
