Defender – Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wolves 0-1 Manchester United

AWB is expected to have a great season this year and he has started on the right foot. He was probably the best Red Devil in defense in this game and made a spectacular save on the line that helped United to get all three points.

A ball that had already passed De Gea and AWB managed to save it at the line when the game was tied at 0 in the fifth minute. If it wasn’t for this save the game would have gone any way.

Defender – Andreas Christensen
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Christensen was perfect against Liverpool, helping the Blues gain a valuable point. The Blues, who played 45 minutes with one player fewer thanks to a Reece James red card, played extremely defensive football but were well-organized thanks to Andreas Christensen.

The Blues have only allowed 2 goals in his last 12 Premier League appearances and Christensen is finally getting an opportunity to play more consistently and he’s living up to expectations.

Defender – Raphael Varane
Wolves 0-1 Manchester United

It is not easy to play well on your debut, especially in the Premier League. Varane is known to be one of the best center-backs in the world and he showed that level in this game.

He was average in the first few minutes but as the game progressed, his level did as well. He assisted Mason Greenwood for his goal and was key for the Red Devils to achieve a clean sheet.

Defender – Luke Shaw
Wolves 0-1 Manchester United

The English left-back has been playing at an excellent level since last season. He did a great job stopping Adama Traore, who had a really good game but Shaw was there to contain him.

Shaw was running up and down the lefthand side the whole game tirelessly. It was like he didn’t get tired. He was great at both offense and defense. He made three interceptions during the game.
