Perhaps not a signing that would be Leicester fans top choice, but the Welshman now has two years of experience training within an elite set-up and has played a respectable number of minutes in the top-flight.

James offers width and would provide a balance that inverted winger, Pérez, has proven inept to achieving. In addition to his playing style and attributes on the pitch, the versatile winger has a balanced and selfless temperament that matches that of an archetypal Leicester City player.

Following on from these aspects, his current employers, Manchester United, are well-known to be keen to sanction the sale of several fringe players to fund moves for their own inadequacies.

As reported by Laurie Whitwell of the Athletic, a fee in the region of £25million is thought to be enough and although Solskjær has voiced his desire for James to stay.

Considering the signing of Jadon Sancho and the Red Devils hardly being strapped for options in attack, it begs the question, how many opportunities the former Swansea man will be handed.
