Cristiano Ronaldo has become the most talked-about player in recent weeks. The forward has been unsettled and concerned with the direction the Old Lady is heading in and is apparently searching for an exit out of Italy.

News comes quick and fast in football and already the story about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future has shifted from asking the media not to discuss his future to news now surfacing that he is trying to “engineer” a move away from Juventus to Man City.

Aiding and abetting Ronaldo is super-agent, Jorge Mendes. He is tirelessly trying to push the deal over the line before the summer window closes; a deal that involves swapping countryman Bernardo Silva for Ronaldo.

Reports as early as last week were conflicting in their updates, to say the least. One faction suggested that Max Allegri is confident the five-time Ballon d’Or footballer is going nowhere while other outlets stated the player is looking for an exit with a return to Real Madrid an option.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is seeking to engineer a move to #ManCity.Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken with a number of #ManCity players about making the move, including Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo. Manchester United have also remained in the rumour mill but it is their neighbouring rivals who are making headway for the special but withered goal machine. The final team being linked with him is the team building an All-Star team, Paris Saint-Germain – they’ve been in contention all summer for him.

As of now, there are strong beliefs that this summer we will see the 36-year-old at a new club. Making the matter uncomfortably pressing for Juve, he has a year left on his contract and is at risk of leaving for free next summer.

The real question following the Ronaldo to Manchester City talks, what happens to Harry Kane and his potential move to the Etihad – is it now in jeopardy?
