Paul Pogba and Manchester United have been in a novel-type story since he rejoined and because of his contract situation. There have been rumors all summer of Pogba leaving Old Trafford but in the end ” he is 100% staying at the club” and with the performances he is displaying both parties would probably look for an extension, with his contract expiring next summer.
The Frenchman had a phenomenal start to the season. There have only been two games played so far but he’s showing a level that everyone expected him to deliver; a similar level that of what he displayed for France at the Euros competition.
Pogba has been key in both of United’s opening games; he delivered four assists in the first game and then delivered an assist in the second game for the only goal scored by United, in which they drew 1-1 against Southampton. Pogba is the first player in Premier League history to accumulate five assists in the first two games of a season.
Now, would Pogba be convinced to stay at Old Trafford despite PSG rumors?
PSG is forming a superteam with the best players in the world. Pogba was one of their main targets this summer but a deal was not reached. Despite all that, there are big rumors that are still linking the Frenchman to PSG but with a switch happening next season only.
Pogba’s contract is expiring next summer and some believe he would stay at the Theatre of Dreams but if PSG keeps bringing world-class players in, it is going to be difficult to say no to a team so stacked with the best on the globe.

Probably one of the main concerns of Pogba is that the Red Devils have not been challenging their rivals for top honors while Pogba has been at Old Trafford. However, form has looked on the up of recent, despite a trophyless season last run out.
Their recent upsurge in performances could help convince him the project at United is just as interesting as the one at Le Parc des Princes. Also, the signings of top players such as Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, with the latter being a close friend of him, could be key to convince his countryman to stay.
The Red Devils had a disappointing result against Southampton, but they are still strong contenders for the title this year and should have won with all the chances they created. If they manage to win the EPL this season, I think it would be enough to convince him to sign a new long-term deal.
Pogba can form a superteam with players like Bruno Fernandes, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford, with the Frenchman being one of the biggest leaders of the team.
We will have to wait for the season to end before we find out his decision. In what they are hoping to be a productive and fruitful campaign, will determine if he is going to stay at Manchester United or not.
