The Fantasy Premier League season kicked off with a bang in GW1. It was a very high-scoring week with an average score of 69 points, which is very high! The Gameweek 1 team that I picked scored 98 points, which was above average by almost 30 points!

In this week’s Best XI I will pick them in a 3-4-3 formation to utilize the best of my options for GW2. The captain of the side will again be Mohammed Salah and vice-captain Bruno Fernandes, but just like last week, there can be a case made to go with either of them as the team’s captain.

Just like last week, the keeper this matchday is Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez. The Seagulls were very unfortunate to concede a goal, which should have been disallowed due to a foul on Neal Maupay in the buildup.

Despite Watford starting the season well I expect them to come down to earth against Brighton with the latter grabbing their first clean sheet of the season.
