Emi Buendía has been one of the most important players for Norwich in the last three years.

He’s only 23 years old and many fans expected that he would leave Norwich City in 2020 after they got relegated but thankfully he didn’t. This past season, Buendía scored 15 goals and assisted 15 helping Norwich to win the Championship title and gain promotion.

This incredible run by the Argentinian won him a spot in the Aston Villa squad. The Lions paid €38m for him, which is for some a little too high for a player that didn’t perform as expected in his only season in the Premier League.

Now, Buendía is paired with a very talented team that could use his talents to earn a spot in European competitions next year. Buendía can be a big help for strikers Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings, he can easily end up the season with at least 15 assists. I think he would have more of an assister role than a scorer role, so he’s going to be a perfect addition to The Lions.

Jack Grealish left Aston Villa and Aston Villa’s fans are looking for a substitute for him, Buendía is a different style of player but I think he could be one of the most important players for the Lions this season and one of the players we should watch the closest this season.

Depending on how he does this season could help him to start developing a good resume in the EPL so in a few years he might leave to a bigger club in Europe.
