Manchester United are considering letting young winger, Amad Diallo, go out on loan this summer in order for him to gain some much-needed experience.

Amad Diallo has only recently joined the Red Devils. He made the switch from Atalanta to Man United at the beginning of the year during the January transfer window. The English club has been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old for many years prior to their purchase of him.

Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that he is a signing for the long-term future and finding regular minutes on the pitch in red and black will be hard to come by.

How so, why will his game time be limited?

Having signed and finally welcomed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, the front end of Manchester is stacked up with attacking options. Ole Gunnar Solskjær will have to find a way to keep all his attackers happy and that will only come with consistent minutes out on the field.

Ole’s attackers range from Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard and the aforementioned, Jadon Sancho – all these players will get the nod ahead of the Ivorian Amad – sending him out on loan appears to be the only option left.

After just joining the Devils, he made more than a handful of features for them: he played eight games for Man United, feating in the Premier League three times, another four times in the Europa League and then a single showing in the FA Cup.

Despite these eight appearances being limited to only two starts, he was still able to score one and assist one. Most of his time outside of the first team was spent playing ball in the reserve side – something the club feels a pointless practise moving forward.

Not even with Rashford out for the first part of the season will we see Amad Diallo get a big role in United’s first team.

Possible loan deals for Amad Diallo

As of now, there are no favourites or front runners for the winger, however, now that news is out that his parent clubs want to entertain loan deals for him, United will not be short of any offers.

When he did make his permanent switch to the Theatre of Dreams, his old club, Atalanta, did want him back on loan. Nothing materialised from the talks and he ended up staying put. Expect this story to have a conclusion sooner rather than later.
