In our previous update on Harry Kane, we published that the English international has not attended any Tottenham Hotspur training sessions despite him having to report back to headquarters last week Monday, following an extended holiday after the Euros.

Since the ill reports, the English captain has reported back for practice, which was this Saturday past, and has also now made himself available for team selection for their opening Premier League fixture against Manchester City – who also sees Kane as a priority signing this summer.

"Harry Kane returned to Tottenham’s training ground on Saturday; he will quarantine and train alone until Thursday; Spurs begin their Premier League campaign against Man City on Sunday."

Ever since the departure of Sergio Aguero, the Etihad outfit has been looking to sign the ruthless goalscorer from Spurs.

Manchester City even submitted a £100 million bid to take the star striker away from North London. However, Daniel Levy is adamant about the transfer fee and is not willing to sell him for a discounted price to an EPL rival.

Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the Tottenham Hotspur forward. The reigning Premier League champions will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, the final day of the opening weekend of EPL football.

"Nuno confirmed that he will hold “socially distanced” talks later on Monday with Kane, who has denied that he refused to turn up to training last week, insisting his Saturday return was “planned”.Asked about Kane’s availability for the match, Nuno told Sky Sports News: “All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it’s up to us to decide.”(Via: Sky Sports)"

This is great news for Spurs fans and a massive blow for the Cityzens. But with the transfer not closed yet, things could change quickly – for all we know, Spurs could be training Kane to play against them for Man City.

They could possibly be holding out till after they meet each other and then sell to City, as well as sign somebody new.

Other Tottenham news – What is happening with Tanguy Ndombele?

Since Jose Mourinho’s sacking, Tanguy Ndombele has found it difficult to get game time. The French midfielder has played 107 minutes for Spurs under Ryan Mason.

Out of the nine games in the fag end of the 2020/21 campaign, he appeared in only four matches. Owing to a lack of minutes on the pitch, the player is now assessing his options.

Nuno Santo sidelined the player in their final pre-season game against Arsenal despite him being fit and available for the game. This could mean an exit is on the horizon.

Tottenham Hotspur keep up their striker hunt

Pundits and journalists have linked Kane with a move away from North London. The Lillywhites are already planning to fill the void and are in touch with multiple strikers available across Europe.

The main two links to the Premier League club is Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. Lautaro Martinez scored 19 goals from 38 games for Inter and helped them to lift the league title last season.

As Inter are going through tough times financially, they are looking to cash in on some of their best players. They have sold Achraf Hakimi to PSG and Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea. Few other reports suggest that the North London outfit is looking for a new striker regardless of Kane’s situation.

After a fruitful season with Fiorentina, Dusan Vlahovic has caught the attention of multiple Premier League and Serie A outfits. Tottenham are one of the potential suitors looking for Vlahovic’s signature.
