The season’s over and Euro 2020 is in full swing, the squad merry-go-round is a go and transfer rumours are ready to blow up; so here is a ridiculously early prediction of the final 2021/22 Premier League table standings.

1. Manchester City – Premier League Winners

Manchester City will win the Premier League next year. This team was a powerhouse this year and blew the league away on many occasions, granted a lot of their challengers fell off as Liverpool had an injury crisis and Chelsea stuttered.

City will most likely add a Striker in the transfer window, and they won the league this year without one, they will go from strength to strength and get another English top-flight title.

2. Chelsea – Premier league Runners-up

Chelsea steps up two places and challenge Manchester City for the title. The Champions League winners have money to add players if they need to and Timo Werner and Kai Havertz should hit on and have a good second season.

Thomas Tuchel has sorted out the team’s defence and knows how to win titles. They will challenge for top spot.

3. Liverpool

Liverpool gets third spot again. This time they will be in the top four all year, Virgil Van Dijk will return and have a better defensive partner in new signing Ibrahima Konate and Jordan Henderson should be fit throughout.

They may look to add a goalscorer up top, and they will be in the top four with ease.

4. Manchester United

The Red Devils fall back as they struggle to sort out their squad and the direction they want to play.

They will look to add a striker as Harry Kane is a name flying around as United have the money to buy him, but the rest of the squad will struggle to test to real top three.

A team that can surprise but feels as though there are too many holes to challenge, fall back but still make the top four.
